Coniston MRT Defender 110 Stretcher Carrier
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team's 2011 Defender 110 stretcher carriers, Mobiles 1 and 3: utility wagons with folding steel frames that drop to take a loaded stretcher plus five team members, full internal and external roll cages, 9000i winches, snorkels, LED scene lights and oxygen and Entonox kit, in white with orange chequer.
History
Coniston MRT covers the Coniston fells and Old Man of Coniston in the southern Lake District, and in 2011 replaced its ageing vehicles with three Defender 110s. Two of them, Mobiles 1 and 3, are stretcher carriers: inside, folding steel frames drop to carry a loaded stretcher with five team members around it, protected by full internal and external roll cages; outside they carry 9000-lb winches, snorkels, LED scene lighting, roof racks for rescue kit and oxygen and Entonox for casualty care. The team's photograph shows one on a fell road with a crew member loading the rack: white with the rear side windows panelled and lettered CONISTON MOUNTAIN RESCUE TEAM with the badge, MOUNTAIN RESCUE AMBULANCE on the doors, two rows of orange and white chequer, red and yellow chevrons on the rear doors and a blue light bar on the rack.
The registry's model is a white Defender 110 with the panelled quarters, lettering and badge, chequer, chevrons, rack with light bar and kit bag that drops as cargo, snorkel and winch; in the game it carries the blue-light boost and winch pickups.
